Mrs. Terziahmetoğlu was born in Istanbul in 1976. After completing her high school education, she graduated from the Department of Geological Engineering at Kocaeli University. Afterwards, she began a Pre-MBA program at Marmara University. She has been working as a foreign trade specialist for 7 years. She studied with the talented glass artists, including Michaela Möller and Julie Anne Denton. She started producing handmade accessories, such as necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings. Finally, she opened her own workshop in 2006. Her glass jewelry and accessories are sold at 3 luxury boutiques (Argento Silver Tesvikiye, Arkeopera Galatasaray and Turing Istanbul Handicrafts Center- Sultanahmet) in Istanbul. She also makes special orders and gives workshops to glass students. The word of “Kathre” comes from the Ottoman word “Katre” which means “water drop”. Terziahmetoğlu generally use Turkish motifs and forms such as tulips, whirling dervishes, and chintamani in her products.
